In such design Polyurethane tubing on shaft end would be useful.
…That’s what I was going to do……which meas do you suggest for 6.5mm shaft?
what’s the smaller slider made of metal that works fine among the ones you tested?
grazie per la collaborazione20 Agosto 2013 alle 11:37 #311855tromicPartecipantePU tubing 6 x 4 mm for 6,5 mm shaft would be OK. You can use aluminium or titanium slider maybe 10 mm OD, 10-15 mm long, similar back end to Tomba cone ring.

I see you have the front of the piston slightly thinner. Good work Danilo!
E ‘molto tranquillo! Buon lavoro Danilo! 🙂23 Agosto 2013 alle 6:09 #311861020DaniloPartecipante…Tks Tromic, …I used to work on this to make a smaller head but it did not work with epdm rubber, my friend mytom wanted this project in order to make quiter shots so I have made it with tougher rubber ….yes the piston tip is smaller to accept the rubber of ammortizer inside the barrel…anyway, still nedds to be tested for longer time…
….Antooooooo, grazie!!!

29 Agosto 2013 alle 11:52 #311867tromicPartecipanteGood and simple solution for free shaft! Did you try it with slider on shaft?
What kind of material is damper made of?
Are you going to load it in water or out of water? Water might diminish proper functioning of damper.Soluzione buona e semplice per asta nuda! Hai provato con il scorrisagola su asta?
Che tipo di materiale è ammortizzare fatto?
Avete intenzione di caricarlo in acqua o fuori dall’acqua? L’acqua potrebbe diminuire corretto funzionamento dell’ammortizzatore.29 Agosto 2013 alle 15:38 #311868020DaniloPartecipante…I haven’t tried it with slider yet…..and this head has never seen the water for the time being…
one step at the time….the ammortizer is made of adiprene 80 shore….I think you can use
any other rubber 80 shore….….non l’ho ancora provata con scorrisagola e non ha mai visto l’acqua per il momento…
